Cybersecurity for small business — practical controls, not theatre
Most small-business compromises start with a stolen password or a convincing email — not a sophisticated exploit. The defense is a short list of controls, done thoroughly: MFA everywhere, endpoint protection, email filtering, and backups that have actually been restored from.
What you get
What the work actually includes
MFA on everything
The single highest-value control available to a small business. The work is covering the awkward remaining systems, and that’s exactly the work we do.
Endpoint protection with response
Behavioral detection on every machine — and someone who actually acts on the alert, because detection without response is an expensive way to find out afterwards.
Email security
Filtering, phishing protection, and the DNS records that stop others sending mail that looks like it came from you.
Backups as the last line
Immutable copies that ransomware can’t encrypt and an administrator’s stolen credentials can’t delete — tested by restoring, not by assuming.
Insurance questionnaires, answered honestly
Cyber insurers ask specific questions now. We make the answers true first, then help you write them down.

FAQ
Common questions
We’re small — are we really a target?
Attacks on small businesses are mostly automated and indiscriminate: phishing kits and credential stuffing don’t check your headcount. Small businesses are hit constantly precisely because defenses are assumed to be weak.
Do we need to buy a big security platform?
Usually not first. Most businesses on Microsoft 365 Business Premium already own serious security tooling that was never switched on. We start there, then add only what fills a real gap.
What about compliance — HIPAA, CMMC, insurance requirements?
We implement the technical controls and keep the evidence organized. For frameworks with formal audits, we work alongside your auditor or compliance consultant rather than pretending to be one.
