RV park electricity, compared across every supplier
A park pays for every pedestal, every rig’s air conditioner, every bathhouse water heater — through commercial meters the guests never see. In deregulated markets that meter can be priced by every licensed supplier at once, and the spread between the rate on your bill and the best rate on the day is often the easiest money on the property. Send one bill and we’ll show you the number.
A recent park
What one bill turned into
August 2026, a Texas RV park, roughly a million kilowatt-hours a year. Identity withheld; the numbers are as found.
RV park — Texas · ~1,000,000 kWh / year
8.633¢ 5.525¢ per kWh, fixed all-in
≈ $2,590 a month — 36% below the rate on the bill
The comparison ran the park’s meters against licensed suppliers across terms from 12 to 60 months, at 100% swing so seasonal occupancy moves both ways without penalty. Priced in August for a December start — the park’s renewal date arrives with the next term already signed.
A real client and a real comparison; the savings compare the rate on the bill with the best all-in supplier rate quoted that day. Your result depends on your meters, usage, utility zone, and the market on the day we price it.
Why parks
Why campground meters reward a real comparison
The load is big and always on
Fifty pedestals at 30 and 50 amps, a bathhouse, laundry, a pool pump, an office — park meters run at commercial scale all season. At that volume, a cent per kilowatt-hour is real money.
Renewals slip in busy seasons
Supply contracts renew on paper dates, not park calendars. Miss the window and the meter lands on holdover or month-to-month rates — some of the highest numbers a business can quietly pay. We track the date so it doesn’t slip again.
Swing clauses are written for offices
A park’s usage curve looks nothing like an office building’s, and bandwidth penalties in a standard contract punish exactly the seasonality that makes a park a park. We quote full-swing products and read the clause before you sign.
Process
One bill, then it’s our work
- 01
Send a recent bill
The quote form takes a photo or PDF, or email it to energy@rts.expert. The bill carries the meter numbers, usage history, and current supplier — everything a real comparison needs.
- 02
Get the comparison
Your meters, run against every licensed supplier we work with, across every available term — with the swing and pass-through clauses explained in plain English.
- 03
Sign it or shelve it
If the number wins, the paperwork takes minutes and nothing about your service changes but the rate. If your current rate holds up, we say so and diary your renewal instead.
FAQ
Common questions
We’re master-metered — does that change anything?
It’s the normal case. Most parks feed every pedestal through one or a few commercial meters, and those meters are exactly what suppliers price. How you pass power through to guests — flat, metered, or bundled into the nightly rate — is your business and doesn’t affect the supply side.
Our usage swings hard between seasons. Is that a problem?
It’s the single most important clause to read. Many contracts carry bandwidth (“swing”) limits that penalize you for using more or less than projected. We quote park meters with full swing where it’s available — the park comparison featured here was priced at 100% swing, meaning seasonal peaks and dead winters both ride at the contract rate.
We have more than one park. Can one comparison cover them?
Yes — every meter you own goes into the same request, and suppliers will often sharpen pricing for the combined volume. One bill per property is all it takes.
Our contract isn’t up for months. Should we wait?
No — supply contracts can be locked months ahead with a future start date. The park comparison here was priced in August for a December start. Pricing early means your renewal arrives with a signed rate instead of a holdover surprise.
What does the comparison cost?
Nothing. Suppliers pay brokers; the rate you’re quoted is the rate you pay. If the rate on your bill is already competitive, we’ll tell you that too — then track your end date so the next term gets priced on time.
Your park’s number is one bill away
The comparison is free, works in any deregulated state, and can be priced months before your current contract ends.
