Energy / Manufacturing & industrial
Manufacturing electricity and gas, compared for your load profile
Motors, compressors, process heat, and a second shift — for a plant, energy is a line item that moves the margin. Suppliers price industrial meters on their load profile, so the comparison has to start from your real usage, not a generic estimate. Send recent bills and we run your meters against licensed suppliers across fixed, index, and blended products.
Why it pays
What matters on an industrial meter
Load profile drives the price
A flat 24-hour load prices differently than a single day shift with big startup peaks. We quote from your actual interval or billing history so the number is real.
More product choices
Fixed all-in, index, and block-and-index structures all make sense at industrial volume. We lay them side by side with the risk in each spelled out.
The contract fine print
Bandwidth limits, pass-through charges, and material-change clauses matter more as usage grows. We read them before you sign, not after the first true-up.
Process
One bill, then it’s our work
- 01
Send a recent bill
Attach a photo or PDF to the bill review form, or email it to energy@rts.expert. The bill carries the meter number, usage history, and current supplier.
- 02
Get the comparison
Your meters run against the licensed suppliers we work with, across the available terms, with the contract clauses explained in plain English.
- 03
Sign it or shelve it
If the number wins, the paperwork takes minutes and nothing changes but the rate. If your current rate holds up, we say so and track your renewal instead.
FAQ
Common questions
Can you include natural gas?
Yes, where gas supply is deregulated. Electricity and gas can be priced in the same request.
What about demand charges?
Demand charges on larger accounts usually come from the utility’s delivery tariff and pass through no matter which supplier you choose. The supplier comparison covers the energy portion; we’ll point out what is and isn’t competitive on your bill.
We’re planning an expansion. Should that change the contract?
Tell us up front. A big jump in usage can trip bandwidth limits in a standard contract, so we’ll quote products that leave room for growth.
Our contract isn’t up for months. Should we wait?
No. Supply contracts can be priced months ahead with a future start date, so your renewal arrives with a signed rate instead of a holdover surprise.
What does the comparison cost?
Nothing. Suppliers pay brokers; the rate you’re quoted is the rate you pay. If the rate on your bill is already competitive, we’ll tell you that and track your renewal date instead.
Price your plant against the market
Recent bills for each meter are all it takes. The comparison is free and can be priced months ahead of your renewal.
